MORE DETAILS

In this episode, I go into all the nitty gritty details of Navigate. I cover everything from the application process, to how the 12 weeks are structured, to what you will leave the program with. So tune in for detailed explanations of all the features of Navigate. I also answer frequently asked questions that might be holding you back from applying to join the summer cohort.

Applying for Navigate

Acceptance for this program is by application only. We are selective with who we invite to participate because we are curating a community of like-minded academics. A large component of Navigate is peer engagement and working through this program with people struggling with the same things in their writing as you is powerful. The primary qualifiers for applicants are:

  • You are a professor.
  • You have at least 1 article published in a peer review journal.
  • You have 3-4 drafts in varying stages of completion.
  • You want to clear your publication pipeline before an upcoming project.

How is Navigate Structured?

Navigate is a 12 week program. During the summer session, a video module will be released every Monday. It will include an assignment that requires 1.5 hours of work throughout the week. Then on Fridays at 11am EST, your coach hosts a community video call. These mandatory sessions rotate between group coaching and co-writing meetings.

What to Expect After Completing the Program

Navigate is a unique professional development program for tenure-track professors that are disrupting their industry. This coaching program is designed to align your academic mission statement with your writing pipeline. At the conclusion of the 12 week container you will have:

  • A clearly defined mission statement that guides your decisions in taking on writing projects.
  • A comprehensive publication pipeline for the next year.
  • A sustainable writing process that breaks each project into manageable tasks.
  • An improved relationship with writing.
  • At least 1 article will be finalized and submitted for publication.

“The purpose of the Navigate program is to help you write and publish to the level that is in line with what you know you’re capable of doing. The idea of the program is to help you get your voice out in the world through your academic publications, but the upside side effects of this are that you get very clear about what you want for your career.”

“What else is included in this program? This is it –  modules, coaching, and co-writing. It’s simple. We created this version of Navigate to do the most impactful activities that we know are really going to help you get that low hanging fruit project out the door and change your writing and publication practice.”
